Your support of Georgia Music Teachers Association assists professional music education in the state of Georgia. Programs such as scholarships, awards, and grants are made possible through generous support at the individual, local, and corporate level. By investing in GMTA and MTNA, you support our mission of furthering the art of music through programs that encourage and support teaching, performance, composition and scholarly research.
Donate To GMTA
Contributions to the following funds enable GMTA to provide financial assistance to our students through awards and travel grants for students traveling to MTNA competitions. They may be made in memory or honor of someone or on behalf of an organization, with acknowledgement sent to the appropriate party.
GMTA Award Fund. Established in 1993 to include honorary and memorial gifts, and awarded at the discretion of the GMTA Finance Advisory Committee. (Donations received without a specific designation will be deposited into this fund.)
GMTA Broadhurst Award Fund. Established in 1992 by the Broadhurst family in commemoration of Joan Broadhurst, and given annually at the GMTA Conference to the MTNA Junior Piano Performance Competition winner of the Georgia state-level competition. Award amount is 90% of earnings for that year.
GMTA Composition Award Fund. Established in 1987, initially funded by Betty Nolting and given annually at the GMTA Conference to first-place winners in the MTNA Student Composition Competitions for the Georgia state-level competitions in each age category. Award amount is 90% of earnings for that year plus any subsidy from the GMTA operation fund, divided by the number of first-place winners.

We sincerely appreciate your support of our organization through advertising in our publications. Our publications are received by nearly 1,000 music teachers, music students, colleges, and businesses. Not only will your business benefit from advertising with GMTA, but you will be supporting important work in promoting the fine arts and providing many opportunities for music students as well as music teachers.
Our Newsletter is published three times each year (Winter, Summer, and Fall) and is the basis of communication to over 700 members. The GMTA Newsletter is also mailed to many MTNA State Presidents, colleges, and businesses.
Our Directory is published annually and used as an Auditions Handbook and Membership Directory.
Our Conference Program is published for our annual November conference.
